I wanted to let you know just how pleased we are with the tutor you've given us. She has not only met, but exceeded our expectations.
What a fantastic decision you made when you decided to bring her onto your team. She is bright, kind, responsive, caring, well-schooled in how to approach any and all of Timothy's learning issues, and genuinely concerned about Timothy's progress.

Interviews with admission officers at some of the nation's most popular colleges reveal recent and important shifts in the weighting of traditional admission factors. College officials outlined 8 major changes in their admissions practices that will affect applicants from now on:
- Less time per application. Admission counselors are responsible for a greater number of applications. Even at private colleges, officers take an average of just 15 minutes for the first read of an application.
- Earlier deadlines. Students should now apply in September and October.
Less reliance on recommendations. Recommendation letters are getting less specific with few thoughtful comments and many tell the college what the student has already told them.

Meet Jan Coltrain-Sapp | Owner
Jan Coltrain-Sapp is the owner of the Creative Tutors Plano. The role is a natural for her since she has always had a passion for education...both from a teaching and from a learning perspective. A Creative Tutors customer before she became an owner, Coltrain-Sapp calls Creative Tutors her "life preserver." When her daughter began having educational and learning difficulties at the age of three, Coltrain-Sapp became very active in her education. Through finding solutions for her daughter, she gained experience with the educational system and the law. She also developed heightened awareness of children's educational needs. Her experience as a working parent gives her particular sensitivity to other parents who work and want the best education for their child.
Coltrain-Sapp graduated with honors from the University of Northern Iowa with a business education major and taught at the community college level. Subsequently, she pursued an MBA in HR and Personnel Management at Northeast Missouri University and received her law degree from the University of Iowa.
