Education in the future

Jun 22 | Education in the future

I too believe that too much emphasis has been placed on testing. The article does an adequate job of describing efforts that should be made for future students. I do agree that motivation starts before high school. More parent involvement is also key. The article mentions some programs to prepare students for the workplace of the 21st century. Students definitely need to see relevance in the courses that they are taking. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "Why do we have to learn this?" Maybe more career training is the direction we should head with a partnership with the businesses that will soon need these students and their expertise.
