47% of public school students ride the school bus to and from school. Growing violence to students riding the bus concerns parents about the safety of their child on the local school bus system. School fights and violence seem to be spreading over from school day to the school bus. The rising number of students that have their own cell phone allows students to text message and call their friends to meet students at the bus stop and continue the violence even after exiting the school bus.
Without a Doubt Public School Buses Need Safer Standards!
440,000 public school buses each year serve more than 24 million students!
How do we help to solve the violence on our public school buses?
Teens are posting on YouTube video's about using aerosol deodorant and a match creating flames and fires.
For some reason, outdo the prior video seems to be popular with these viewers and posting their version of bigger fire torches are beginning to populate the internet.
"Every child deserves the right to an adequate education" Right? That is what we know from federal law.
Keeping up with changes to the system is how best a parent can assure that their child receives the many services available to them. Creative Tutors works to help parents understand the law and how it affects their individual needs.
Information you should understand about changes in services and it may or may not impact the speech-language pathology and audiology services your child receives can be found on the site listed below. http://www.asha.org/advocacy/federal/idea/default.htm

Recently in the Dallas Morning News there was an article written by Katherine Leal Unmuth about textbooks in Garland ISD....the link below ..... you will find the article in full.
http://www.quickdfw.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/032609dnmettextbooks.3a33d62.html
The article points out the path of textbooks and the growing problem with publishers bundling the textbooks and on-line access to these books. Publishers force the school district to purchase textbooks if they want to have access to on-line content. Is this more money for the publishers? I doubt it is any of consequence. Teachers in the classroom keep about 30 books in the classroom as reference books but students are not given their own book to use during the school year. It appears the teachers are concerned that the books will not be taken care of. The books are stored away!
What is our country becoming? Who on earth would cheat girl scouts out of their fund raising money by purchasing cookies with counterfeit money? Watch channel 5 report http://www.king5.com/video/news-index.html?nvid=337310
It is unbelievable to steal cookies from 7 year olds! Best said "That makes you feel really mad," said Swanson. Ditto from me too!

Creative Tutors, Plano, Texas (Grassroots Newswire) January 16, 2009
-- There are often individuals that help guide children in life -- helping them learn new things, make good decisions, change their way of thinking for the better -- and very often those people are tutors. Creative Tutors is recognizing Johnny Ogletree for having an impact on his students and their families by naming him as Owner of the Year for 2008.
I have been at the 2009 IFA conference in San Diego, CA enjoying round table discussions, amazing presentations and continuing to become more knowledgeable about the franchise industry. The International Franchise Association has the Institute Certified Franchise Executive (ICFE) program. I am thrilled to be enrolled in the program earning credits towards certification from this program! The ICFE will help me to continue to grow and learn more from other franchise executives and industry professionals.
