« Fake Money cheats girl scouts out of fund raising profits! :: The Triple Bind by Stephen Hinshaw, PHD. »When is the best time to start your child on a good skin care regimen?
Generally, children begin to have problems with acne and oils as they approach puberty. If your child is showing the tell tale signs, start educating them on good skin care.
Follow up:
Skin care starts with basic cleansing and moisturizing. Skin care developed for teens should include a cleanser with some type of exfoliation to give their pores a deep cleaning. Freshner or toner is another important step since it removes residual oil and dirt which can help prevent acne. Moisturizers for teens should hydrate the skin and absorb oil at the same time.
How often should teens (and adults) be cleaning their skin? The routine should be done two times per day to maximize the effectiveness of keeping the skin free of oils and dirt as well as hydrating the skin.
Quick tip: Make sure you are also using an oil free eye make up remover for girls who are beginning to wear mascara/eye shadow.
