Moving To College

Sep 05 | Moving To College

I don't normally go on what you would call vacations. The only reason I go anywhere is usually for dance. But this summer my mom, my sister and I moved to Utah where we're attending college. We decided to drive and make it kind of like a family vacation (keep in mind the last time we tried a "vacation" it snowed in April in South Texas).

So first things first we tried to get rid of some stuff by having an everything must go garage sale. That went really well and we got rid of a lot of stuff (or so we thought). You don't actually realize how much stuff you have until you pack a truck!

Anyway, the day before we left we began loading the truck. (We got a U-Pack truck to save money...they bring you the truck and then you pack it). My best friend came over to help us move (everyone else who was supposed to be there to help sort of ditched). But all was well my best friend is like the Hulk/Superman. So we kept loading and loading and loading. I don't think we even had any idea that we had that much stuff. But let me tell you that truck was packed like a can of sardines.

We finally finished and actually didn't do half bad a job! So, next time you move or go off to college and you feel up doing it yourself http://www.upack.com/ is the way to go. But, if you do it yourself make sure there are some men envolved (it makes things a little easier) and that at least one of them can carry your entire couch by himself (yes it's possible). Just make sure the couch isn't too big you don't want him to pull anything!
