During National Engineering Week, five Allen High School students took the top prize in an engineering skills event sponsored by the Raytheon Corporation. There were participants from Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Allen and more than 100 students divided up into five-member teams to build a robotic project and design a presentation. The winners from Allen High School were Josh Stockwell, Chris, Rewitzer, Crystal Fisher, Ahmad, Saleh, and Ben Watkins.
After the competition, representatives from the Disney Corporation discussed how engineers meld art and engineering in creating entertainment venues enjoyed by millions world-wide.
