Creative Tutors of Allen-Lovejoy
Most middle and high schools offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses. But do you know what that means to have your child taking the Pre-AP or AP courses? These designated courses may cause your children to feel stressed or overwhelmed about the work load. Tutoring should be incorporated in their help package, to succeed in these programs. These are college level courses, that students are expected to handle the subject matter and workload at the college level. Most colleges and universities consider students that take AP courses to be better prepared for the rigor of college courses, and they are expected to take the College Board exam at the end of their high school years. Its a good option to exercise, but do not let you child drown during the AP an IB process. Their quest to particpate and succeed in the challenges of AP and IB require a fine balance of maintaining highly motivated spirits and reaching the educational skill levels of advanced studies. Which leads me to a distinguishing feature of Allen High School, one of three schools in the North Dallas school districts that is an authorized school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. This is a rigorous pre-university course of study for the academically talented and highly motivated student, designed to provide the student with a well-rounded, high academic course of study emphasizing the development of the "whole person". Successful completion of the course work and examinations at the junior/senior level, may earn students credit or advanced placement at colleges and universities around the world. This is available in the Allen ISD and should be taken advantage of.
